Deniz Undav remain in VFB Stuttgart after of Brighton Hove an Albion loan in 2023

The German runners-up, after being satisfied at the end of the season with striker Deniz Undav on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, have now decided to sign him on a free transfer.

So, after various tough negotiations, the two administrations finally reached an agreement, where Stuttgart will pay Brighton the sum of 27 million euros plus various bonuses and the international striker will continue to play for the former.

28-year-old Udav will sign a 3-year contract (until 2027) and will be the most expensive addition in the club's history.

VFB Stuttgart has big ambitions for the upcoming season: They want to claim the Bundesliga and reach as high as they can in the UEFA Champions League.

"It was always my wish to stay at VfB," Undav said. And he added. "It's a great feeling that the wait is over now and I'm back here. I'm looking forward to the team, I'm looking forward to the club and I'm looking forward to the fans.". Udav will reportedly earn more than three million euros per season.

Stuttgart rely on the Undav/Demirovic duo

Now Udav will play alongside newcomer Ermedin Demirovic next season. Serhou Guirassy's replacement took him from FC Augsburg for €21 million.  Last season, Udav scored 18 goals and 10 assists in 30 league games. Together with Guirassy they formed one of the most dangerous attacking duos in Europe.

Arsenal failed to maintain the euphoric atmosphere that existed after the imposing 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Their tank was almost... empty, stuck at 1-1 against Brentford, and now Mikel Arteta's team seems to be raising the white flag in the championship battle!. Now Arsenal is turning its attention exclusively to the Champions League, where after the 3-0 win, it seems to have a big lead to qualify for the semi-finals of the top club competition in Europe, if not the world.
