The italian striker would be a suitable reinforcement for FC Bayern Múnich

Federico Chiesa, Juventu`s striker

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is no longer involved in squad planning at FC Bayern. Nevertheless, the former chairman of the board continues to give tips to the club he loves about new signings. He is particularly fond of an Italian European champion.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has not been responsible for FC Bayern since last summer. Meanwhile, his successor Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic are taking care of the transfers of the German record champions.

Last summer, the Munich-based company was associated with Federico Chiesa. But ultimately the winger stayed with Juventus. According to Rummenigge, it is undisputed that the Italian European champions would be a suitable reinforcement for FC Bayern.

"I can confirm that he is a great player. Chiesa has always shown that, in the national team, at Juve and Fiorentina. He is a player for Bayern Munich," said the 66-year-old on the Tuscan regional broadcaster RTV38. Chiesa, is on loan from Fiorentina to Juventus until 2022. Then a purchase obligation should apply.

Hard criticism of Juventus

According to media reports, Juventus will have to transfer around 40 million euros to Florence in the summer. Italy's record champions have debts of around 357 million euros. In the interview, Rummenigge, therefore left the old lady uncomfortable with the financial policy.

"I couldn't sleep at night if I owed Juventus Turin," said Bayern's long-time club boss. In addition, the former world-class attacker criticized Juve's plans to participate in a Super League.

"There can't be a Super League because that would make football an American sport and that wouldn't fit European culture. You'd make more money, but where does the money go? To the players and agents. I don't think so, that it is worthwhile for Messi and Ronaldo to earn ten million more" said Rummenigge.
