Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea for glory and money!

Both teams will face each other tonight in New Jersey in a game that is expected to be full of offensive play and with a lot of money involved.

PSG and Chelsea will face each other in New Jersey in the grand final of the 2025 Club World Cup.

One of the most famous cities on the planet turned... blue, for the sake of the Londoners who on Sunday night (13/7, 21:00 Central European Time) will claim the Club World Cup against the 2025 European champion, Paris Saint-Germain.

The Londoners will claim the world champion's trophy and the organizers made sure in their own way to "warm up" both the people and the team itself. With an impressive light show in the sky of New York, the Chelsea emblem was formed, making the... landscape above one of the most famous cities in the world "blue" for a while.

Of course, it is not particularly surprising that the final of the expanded World Cup will be a purely European affair. . FIFA completely changed the image of the competition, essentially creating a… global Champions League with 32 teams.

In the end, of course, as expected, the European clubs prevailed and thus the trophy will be claimed by Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

For Paris, whatever is said is little. Obviously, the Parisians are having the best season in their history. They have swept everything in their path. In France, they easily did the double, won the UEFA Champions League for the first time, crushing Inter in the final with 5-0 and now they are going full speed to add the world crown to their trophy cabinet.

“What a special season, what a special moment. There is still one game left. We want to write history for the club again,” commented Luis Enrique, who has created without a doubt the best team in Paris’ history and probably one of the best on the planet, in the last 25 years.

Paris is irresistible

There are moments when you think that Paris is playing another sport and the opponent simply cannot watch them. In the semi-final against Real Madrid, their dominance was extremely impressive, against the heaviest jersey in the world. The 4-0 came completely effortlessly. The score was already 3-0 in the 24th minute and everything was essentially decided before the half-hour mark, thanks to goals from Ruiz (two) and Dembele. The fourth was also achieved by the Portuguese, Gonzalo Ramos towards the end to make their victory over the Madrid team even more impressive.

Crazy investments by Chelsea

Of course, a final always has unpredictable elements and Chelsea is not a random team. In the first season of the Italian, Enzo Maresca in technical leadership, they returned to the top 4 in the Premier League. They won the Conference League and are now in the final of the Club World Cup.

Obviously, the Londoners had a more accessible path in the competition, since after qualifying against Benfica (in extra time), in the round of 16, they had to eliminate two Brazilian teams, Palmeiras and Fluminense to reach the end of the route.

Especially against Fluminense, Joao Pedro's star shone. The 23-year-old former Brighton forward (who cost Chelsea 63 million euros) signed the Blues' qualification by scoring his first goals with the shirt of his new team, in the 2-0 win over Flu. Both were achieved with impressive shots.

In general, Chelsea has made huge financial transfers in the last four years, that is, after the change of ownership and although it has not yet managed to dominate the Premier, it has built an extremely expensive roster. And of course, its ambition is to reach a level where it can compete on equal terms with the title contenders on the Island, namely Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

In the purely competitive part, Maresca will have Colwill and Liam Delap behind him, who served their sentences. Also, international right-back Reece James is expected to be a starter this time (he played as a substitute against Fluminense, due to a minor injury).

On the other hand, Spanish Luis Enrique will again be deprived of the services of his main stopper Pato, so Beraldo will play in his place as Marquinhos' partner. Lucas Hernandez will also be absent, but he is not counted as a starter.

Everyone is anxiously waiting to admire Dembele, Vitinha, Kvaratskhelia , Doue Hakimi, and Neves from the side of the French team. And on the other hand, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo and Cucurella...

Money with a tail for winner and loser

The team that will manage to prevail and lift the prize money will pocket the sum of 42.8 million euros, a sum considerably larger than what the winner of the Champions League receives!.

Even the loser will not leave empty-handed, as it is estimated that they will receive 34.2 million euros for taking second place in the tournament. Of course, this money will be added to the amount that the two finalists have already secured for their journey to the final, with FIFA having distributed over 1.7 billion euros so far!
