UEFA president Aleksandar Ceferin is highly regarded by all or most of the European confederation's member national associations.
Croatia's Zvonimir Boban's recent statements have had virtually no countermeasures, as all (most) UEFA country presidents have contacted him and expressed their full confidence.
Recently, speaking to the Guardian, Mr. Ceferin highlighted this issue and the statute:
"The departure of Zvonimir Boban did not cause a significant disturbance, that is, we cannot speak of a shock to UEFA or the European football community, even though it was unexpected. We will discuss the matter further when the time is right, probably after the conference (8/2, Paris).
In 2017, we had a conference and I proposed some things and some limitations to be put into the bylaws, but the final wording was so vague that there were effectively no term limits, because after each change in the bylaws, the previous ones didn't count. I was not aware of this then. Thus, in 2018, our management changed the wording so that in this part there is a continuity with the existing statute. But this was done without the approval of the conference, which is mandatory, and without the approval of any other UEFA body, rendering the provision invalid".
At the same time, it is worth noting that the Slovenian first citizen of European football would like the war situation in Ukraine to end and for peace to return and with it the young footballers who are not to blame for anything. As he has stated another time: "This is a mistake of the adults and it is nothing to do with young footballers who cannot compete."
Meanwhile it should be noted that when
Zvonimir Boban had left FIFA, Mr. Ceferin was the one who invited him and gave him an important position in UEFA. He placed him in charge of football as he has been a great holding midfielder in the past playing for AC Milan and of course the Croatian national team.
Today, we announce the departure of Zvonimir Boban from the organisation by mutual agreement.

Mr Ceferin the football man recently spoke in another interview with The 'Telegraph' about some current UEFA and European football issues, such as the ongoing Premier League investigation against Manchester City for non-compliance with the Financial Fair Play. Something that has already happened in UEFA and this led to a two-year exclusion of the English team from European competitions, which later fell to CAS.
"I don't want to talk about this particular case in England, but I am sure that the decision of our independent body at the time was correct. We know we did well. We wouldn't have acted like this if we didn't think we were right."
In conclusion we would say that now on February 8 in Paris there will be quite important news about the future of European football and by extension the international.
