Liverpool continue to strengthen their arsenal ahead of the new season to be more competitive in the Premier League. After world champion Argentine midfielder Alexis McAllister, he has now moved on to sign 22-year-old Hungarian midfielder Dominik  Szoboszlai.

The footballer that Jurgen Klopp desperately wanted in the reds, signed a cooperation contract until the summer of 2028. Thus, Jurgen Klopp's team radically changes the playing profile in the area of the midfield. The English team activated the buyout clause in Szoboszlai 's contract with the German RB Leipzig and with the amount of 70 million Euros, they took the talented footballer.

The 22-year-old Hungarian international ace traveled to England, successfully passed his medical and then signed a 5-year contract with the "reds".

He will wear No. 8

Meanwhile, Szoboszlai  revealed the reason he chose the shirt with the "No. 8" on the back. And it is none other than the fact that since he was a small child he had Steven Gerrard, former captain of Liverpool, as his idol and even has a tattoo.

The 22-year-old Hungarian international said: “I have a tattoo of Steven Gerrard. That's why I got the jersey. When I was a kid I didn't watch much football to be honest, but when it came time for the Champions League I watched, with Gerrard being one of the best.

As I said in 2020, he is one of the best coaches in the world. The way he acts next to the pitch, it's like he's playing! It's also impressive what he's achieved with this club," said new Reds signing Dominic Szoboszlai
