In the last few days, the developments in the Juventus camp seem to be running at ... a thousand. The "Bianconeri" have been targeted by the authorities of the Italian federation many times this season. And they were deducted 10 points, while at the same time UEFA had opened an investigation for non-compliance with Financial Fair Play.
However, it seems likely that the two sides will reach an agreement, as there are ongoing discussions between Aleksandar Ceferin and the Italian club's management.
What will the agreement provide? According to "Tuttosport", the Old Lady is expected to be
punished with a one-season ban from Europe, where she has already secured her participation in the upcoming UEFA Conference League. But now it is predicted that there will be an agreement to close this case, where the Italian team will withdraw from the organization "paying" for the misdeeds of its agents.
Thus, UEFA will put on file the cases it has opened against the "Bianconeri" and will essentially stop investigating them.
In fact, a delegation of lawyers went from Turin to Nyon to work on a deal that could shelve once and for all the file opened by the European body last December for "possible violations of the rules on union permits and economic fair play".
Essentially, the way for the restoration of relations between the two sides was opened after the intention of Juventus to withdraw from the European Super League.
It is not excluded that the "Bianconeri" will withdraw from their European participation in the new season, giving their place to the 8th team of Serie A, Fiorentina.
Juventus' domestic woes over false accounting ended with a 10-point deduction from the table. And the Bianconeri finished 7th with 62 points, earning a place in the Conference League playoffs.
So everyone is now waiting to see if Juventus will leave voluntarily or if the expulsion process will be initiated for 1 year, or if something else will be found, which at the moment no one knows...
