The international Colombian  midfielder of Olympiakos Piraeus, James Rodríguez does not only shine on the pitch, since it seems that he is also expanding in the business sector, positively affecting the lives of thousands of his compatriots.

On July 12, James Rodriguez will blow out the 32nd candles on his birthday cake. The 10-man of Olympiakos, according to the Colombian edition of "AS" does not have the mood to be on the pitch until he is 36 years old and is already preparing for his life after hanging up his boots.

The area of real estate, but also that of catering, have already entered his life, while he has not hidden his desire to remain in football with a different role.

Through his statement to Forbes magazine, he openly said that: "I would like to continue in football from a different perspective than that of a player. I would like to contribute my knowledge and experiences to the new generations at the management level. I have a master's degree in Sports Management and I want to continue practicing on it."

In 2017 he opened his own cafe

In 2017, he opened his first coffee franchise of the Dos Molinos chain. The shops in question operated mainly in Ibagué, the capital of Tolima.

"I always wanted to have a business that would allow me to show the world the quality of coffee we have in our country," he emphasizes.

Expansion in the catering sector and beyond

At the same time, the business activity of James Rodríguez is not limited to coffee. The Colombian star has joined the "Salvaje y Arrogante" restaurant chain, which operates in Europe, the United States and Latin America, as a partner.

"Functional Foods" and "Colombia somos todos" are other investments of the James family, in the company the manager is his uncle and at the helm of his foundation is his mother, Pilar Rubio, who is responsible for everything.

"We are happy because in 12 years we have affected the lives of more than 6,000 boys and girls, as well as their families in 20 municipalities in Antioquia, Tolima, Atlantico and Casanare," said the Olympiakos ace.

Finally, he assured that his favorite sector to invest in is agricultural enterprises. "My goal is to help Colombia, to do what I can to move the country forward." By 2023, James has amassed a fortune that would approach $80 million, according to data from Celebrity Net Worth.
