What is being played in Europe for Dybala and Vlahovic but also the other children

Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic are two of the great strikers in Italy. His future is uncertain in his clubs

Juventus evening is divided into two: the best thing is the victory, eighth consecutive useful result, encouraging classification for the Champions fight, with Atalanta and Napoli in the crosshairs. The less good one is Paulo Dybala's response after the 1-0 goal, because it is useless to hide behind the fig leaf: the situation is not easy, because the Argentine has been expecting a certain type of contract for several years, but not never had it yet.

In the beginning it was around 10-12 per year, prepandemic was around 12-15, now it's 8 + 2 bonus. Are these figures impossible for Juventus? One would say that no, they are not, on the contrary. But by confirming Dybala, 29 years old in November, he effectively cuts all chances of making a capital gain. Or more simply to resell it: Dybala would realistically earn about ten a year, doubled by 20, for a four-year period.

Eighty million without the possibility of selling it, because everyone is making savings. One of the two: is it better to keep Dybala, making him the captain of the ship, or investing in who then you have the possibility to sell again, perhaps with a more humane salary?.

This is why the June market will be a lot of fun. Because there are a lot of tops that are going to expire, but they are almost all players that are impossible to resell. Mbappé aside, of course. Pogba earns extraordinary figures, Sule and Rudiger would like to get there, for Dembele there is a queue (and who knows whether Juventus will win), as well as for Zakaria, but let's talk about a different engagement.

The truth is that football is off-team in the current state of affairs. It already cost too much before, but between capital gains, sponsorships - even by the owners themselves, as has been done for years by the Italian teams - and tickets, a billion is gone. Well, half of them are capital gains, so the big names would not actually have real money but only a round game, as for Arthur and Pjanic, to name two.

Barcelona will take a long time to return to a billion dollar bill. Inter to return to pre-Covid levels, not really, because apart from the regional rights (i.e. the sponsorship rights that Suning brought from China, which disappeared after the pandemic), they did not have all these revenues unrelated to television, competition and box office rights . The latter is useful because they are fresh money, they guarantee cash flow with which you pay everyone and that you do not have to wait for pending invoices or late sponsorships.

Who will be covered in money is Dusan Vlahovic, for whom a media war is at stake between all the parties involved. On the one hand, Commisso has his reasons for him, he gave him the opportunity to become what he is, it would also be right to give his team the millions he deserves without blackmail. On the other hand, he could have first renewed a contract that has never been touched up since he arrived from Belgrade, so when it was a Spring.

Right? Wrong? In retrospect, it can be said to have been a short-sighted move, but in football what is true today is not true tomorrow. Thus Vlahovic seems ever closer to Juventus: the commissions for the agent will be high - in the order of 10 million - but far from the figures proposed by the Financial Times this week.

On the other hand, if the offer is 50 (approximately) instead of 80, who will gain? Both the club that buys, and the player (who will get very high figures), minus Fiorentina. Who, however, spent a few million to get it, paid him - under a million a year - for four seasons, for an investment of around 10 (with all gross salaries included).

Of course, we must point out here that Arsenal seems to be entering the dance for the Serbian striker, and in fact very strongly. Her coach, Mikel Arteta, talks to people in the administration almost every day and asks them in every way to proceed with the acquisition of Vlahovic, even if they pay more than 100 to 120 million euros ...

Here we return to Dybala: Vlahovic is 22 years old, in four seasons he will be 26 and could be one of the best in the world, with a salary more or less around the Argentine region. Would Real Madrid have problems spending more than 100 million to get him?.

And above all, could Real Madrid be interested in catching someone like Vlahovic? The answer is yes, and this is why Juve is taking their time. Because maybe there is the intention to renew the contract with Dybala, but in between there are some moments, in the recent history of Juventus, which can change the course of things. The June market will be a lot of fun. A little less for those with players who have expired their contracts.
