From the summer of 2022 onwards, Erik Ten Hag will be the new boss of Manchester United. In fact, in the coming days, the administration of the "red devils" will officially announce his recruitment, as some details remain on the issue of the clause of his contract with Ajax. The Dutch team has a release clause of Ten Hag which amounts to 2 million euros, but of course there is no issue, as it is not a problem for the Glazer family who own the great English team.
Ten Hag has been the only candidate for some time now as the executive vice-president Mr. Arnold, after talking to some, concluded that the best solution is now the Dutch coach of Ajax to take over the big ship that bears the name of Manchester United. The Dutch coach was in the last weeks in a verbal agreement with the English club and now the agreement is final.
The current coach of Ajax has found everything with the management of the red devils for his contract and is said to already have in mind his potential collaborators for the bench at "Old Trafford", such as his compatriot,Mitchell van der Gaag.
Negotiations on the duration of the agreement with the Dutchman continue, with Ten Hag expected to sign either a 3-year contract with the option of renewal for another 12 months or a closed 4-year contract, which will keep him at the club until 2026.
It should be noted here that Ten Hag has set a key role in the contract: to have a say in the final transfer decision with the club's executive director, due to his view that transfer errors marked a period of nine years in the post-Ferguson era and should not be repeated.
Meanwhile, Ten Haag has already started planning for the new season, giving priority to Declan Rice (West Ham), Calvin Phillips (Leeds), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Ruben Neves (Wolves), Moussa Dembele (Lyon), Richardson (Everton) and Harry Kane (Tottenham). For the latter, he will probably give a big fight, because Pep Guardiola also wants him in Manchester City.
Ten Hag wants Rafael Varane and Jaydon Sancho, as well as the most experienced Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes.
The international Spanish goalkeeper De Gea will remain in the team for the new season, but the new coach considers that he does not fit perfectly in the new way of playing he wants to implement and it is not excluded that next year will be his last year at "Old Trafford".
The stay of Maguire and Shaw, as well as Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, is doubtful. If the Portuguese striker demands a key position, it is estimated that he will facilitate Ten Hague for the termination of his contract. Something similar applies to Cavani, Martial, while for Rasford everything shows that he will remain.
