Virgil Van Dijk and Mo Salah, current Liverpool star figures.

Liverpool's management is ready to renew the contracts of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. The English team started negotiations first with Salah's agent Rami Abbas who has already traveled to Liverpool in order to meet in the coming days with people from the Reds' management.

Salah, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has one year left on his contract and Liverpool want to tie him down until the summer of 2027.

For his part, the 32-year-old Egyptian star wants to extend his contract, as long as he is given one of the most expensive contracts in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, asking for 500 thousand euros as weekly wages!

It is a fact that Salah has received important proposals from teams in the mainland of Epirus and also from Saudi Arabia, which is why he sent a warning 10 days ago to the Liverpool management. But his desire is to continue at the port as he feels very good in the English team...

Van Dijk

Meanwhile, Dutch international central defender Virgil van Dijk, a great footballer, is expected to sign a new contract with increased annual wages. The 33-year-old Van Dijk has already agreed a new two-year contract that will keep him at Anfield for a long time to come. The current contract expires in the summer of 2025 and will now be extended until 2027.

The Dutch central defender moved to Anfield in January 2018 and has developed into one of the top stoppers in world football.

Van Dijk has in his hands a proposal of 14 million euros on an annual basis. "I give everything to both Liverpool and the national team. My heart belongs to Anfield and yes, my aim is to sign a new contract in the near future," he said.
