Manuel Ugarte was United's second most expensive signing of the summer

Manchester United sign of Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte who they acquired from PSG for the amount of 50 million euros plus a participation bonus of another 10 which raises the total cost of his transfer to 60 million euros.

Manchester United under the guidance of the second richest Briton Sir Jim Ratcliffe have completed their transfers for the 2024 summer season. Their most recent move was the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte who they acquired from Paris Saint-Germain for the amount of 50 million euros plus a participation bonus of another 10 which raises the total cost of his transfer to 60 million euros. So Ugarte became the second most expensive transfer in the current market.

The Uruguayan midfielder signed a five-year contract (with an option to extend for another year).

This was the second most expensive transfer of the Red Devils in the transfer market of the summer, as the "championship" is held by the French central defender, Leni Yoro who cost the amount of 62 million euros collected by Lille.


The 23-year-old Uruguayan defensive midfielder won the double with Paris this season, while he played in 37 games in total. But as his Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, did not have him as a starter but used him one time and the other not, he decided to look for his luck elsewhere.


So United's management, which is said to be determined to strengthen its Dutch coach, Erik Ten Haag, as much as possible, is doing its best to help him by offering him as many "weapons" as possible.
