Dusan Vlahovic is an old-school centre-forward, but with a modern philosophy

Dusan Vlahovic is an old-school centre-forward who is not so... fashionable anymore, but has suited Allegri's philosophy and is scoring in bursts...

Juventus, after a two-year period in which they found it dark in all areas, (there was also the serious issue of deducting several points, the resignation, Andrea Agnelli and her non-appearance in a European competition) now shows that it has recovered. It is already well and truly in the "trick" of claiming the "Scudetto". Its coach, Max Allegri, who should not escape our attention, received a few shots, found the vigor and strength and now has to bring the Old Lady back Lady at the top of Serie A. But to get to this extremely difficult point, she was able to create again a strong team, which has the trademark of a "serial killer".

The reason, of course, is the international Serbian forward, Dusan Vlahovic, who is having an excellent season with the Bianconeri. He scores in bursts and leads Juventus to the top of the league. The Serbian forward is having his best year in Turin. Especially in the last games, he doesn't stop nailing the opposing goalkeepers one after the other and giving points to his team.

Against Lecce

In last Sunday's away game against Lecce, he "solved" the "Gordian bond" in the second half, as he scored two goals, a comfortable 0-3 victory for Juventus. These two goals he achieved were very important for the double, while with them he reached 6 in the last 5 games, a sign of how in shape he is.

Vlahovic is the second top scorer in the league, having 11 goals in 19 games, while he has also distributed 2 assists. Allegri has "worked" on the Serb's... feeding, especially in the area and it has results, since his striker has an amazing "connection" with the opposing nets.

More generally, the Serbian centre-forward is surrounded by footballers, who have now learned to give him the ball correctly, in order to send it into the opposing net. When he gets it right inside the opposition area, he is almost impossible for any defender to deal with, as he is very strong and has a shift, plus he has an excellent technique for his standards.

Old fashioned center forward for many but with modern features.  Vlahovic is a great scorer, a class striker, but he comes from... another era. It is different from the rest of the 21st century. He has a height of 1m90, is left-footed, while he is purely an attacker of the small area, who must get the ball as correctly as possible. Such strikers are now rare, but Allegri and the way his team plays are in great need of him.

Throughout the match, Vlahovic may not make many contacts with the ball, or may not always be important in its circulation, but he has the goal and is unforgiving... Allegri takes advantage of this along with his very high technique.

At the same time, it should be noted that Vlahovic is an old-fashioned forward physically, but he is sophisticated, he has both feet, he scores in every possible and improbable way, while he is very fast for his height.

In his career he has played 195 games for Partizan, Fiorentina and Juventus and has scored 87 times. Now, Vlahovic has raised his market value to 60,000,000 euros, while in order to leave Turin any team that wants him will have to pay an amount around 100,000,000 euros. His name is being heard by Real, Arsenal and Chelsea, but Allegri is doubtful that he will let him go, at least for one more season...
