As of Tuesday, April 18, she assumes the position of Managing Director and General Manager of one of the strongest clubs in Italy and Europe, AS Roma. The reason for the lawyer, Lina Souloukou, member of the Board of ECA (European Union of Associations), immediately assumes her new duties, replacing Pietro Berardi, who left.

In 2019, the Greek lawyer became the first Diversity Representative in the European Association of Associations (2019), being until today a board member in the Executive Council of the Association, from now on representing Roma as the new CEO of the association. In fact, it should be noted that Mrs. Souloukou had to face for her new position, names such as those of Zbigniew Boniek (former international ace of the team) and Uberto Gandini (current president of the Italian basketball league) who were well known in the Italian public. But the family of the American Friedkin, who is the owner of Roma, decided that the Greek woman can carry out her undeniably difficult task better.

Lina Souloukou grew up in a sporting family as her dad was a goalkeeper and later a coach. She herself took up volleyball, being a successful athlete. During her studies she worked in the Doping Control Department of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

In 2007 she founded a specialized law firm with her sister, Aspa, but very quickly served as general counsel to different football bodies. From 2018 to the end of the 2021-2022 season, she was General Manager of FC Olympiakos and her development was rapid.
