The Argentine  striker becoming the Milanese team's top scorer in the Champions League, reaching 18 goals and leaving behind the legend Sandro Mazzola (17).

Lautaro Martínez is from now the top scorers of Inter in UEFA Champions League history.

With the goal scored against the Dutch team, the Inter captain reached 18 appearances in the UEFA Champions League with the Nerazzurri, becoming the competition's top scorer.

In the first match of the Champions League round of 16 against Feyenoord, Simone Inzaghi's team won 2-0 in Rotterdam and is now one and a half steps away from the quarterfinals. And his Argentine striker and captain, Lautaro Martinez, was the great protagonist.

And that's because he scored in the 50th minute of the match and made history, becoming the Milanese team's top scorer in the Champions League, reaching 18 goals and leaving behind the legend Sandro Mazzola (17).

It is worth noting that the Argentine striker also set the record for goals in a single season in the Champions League, reaching 6 with the Italian champions.

Toro, at every moment, in every goal, in every effort, exudes passion for his team and it seems that this relationship with the Nerazzurri, after the contract renewal between the two parties which took place in the summer, will last... for many more years.

Indeed, this is exactly what the player hoped for, saying shortly after the 0-2 victory against Feyenoord in the Netherlands, valid for the "16" of the Champions League:

"I would like to end my career here, I love this club and the fans." I decided to sign a new contract this summer despite the offers I had received. I am happy and proud to be at Inter."
