All 32 teams that will participate in the Club World Cup are almost ready

The additional transfer window for the clubs participating in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup has closed. Manchester City has been the most active club in the transfer market.

FIFA Club World Cup will be based in the United States from 14 June at 13 July 2025.

The additional transfer window for the clubs participating in the expanded Club World Cup, which starts on June 15, has closed. A trophy that, in its new form, is full of prize money, is tempting. And therefore it has pushed the 32 participants to act accordingly, in order to appear as ready and competitive as possible. Real Madrid, for example, has invested enough to immediately acquire the international English right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who would otherwise be free at the end of the month. Manchester City on the other hand, has spent millions of euros. They took the international Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders (AC Milan) for 56 million euros. The 24-year-old Algerian full-back, Nouri. The 31-year-old goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli and the 22-year-old French left winger, Rayan Cherki.

But how have all the contenders fared…

GROUP A:

PALMEIRAS: a team that has already been created, with the arrivals at the beginning of 2025, with the first and best that of the striker Vitor Roque from Barcelona and Facento Torres from Orlando. Last tournament with Verdao for Estevao, since July he moves to Chelsea.

AL AHLI: five new faces for the Egyptians, three if one considers that Mahmoud Trezeguet and Hamdi Fati were already with the Cairo club. The signing of midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, a Tunisian international, is interesting.

INTER MIAMI: no movement for the team that revolves around the beacon Leo Messi. The foundations were laid in the January-February market, that is, before the start of the MLS, with the arrivals, among others, of Telasco Segovia, Tadeo Allende and Gonzalo Luján.

PORTO: The young Spaniard Gabri Veiga returns to Europe, at a cost of 15 million euros.

GROUP B:

PARIS SAINT GERMAIN: the European champion does not change, perfect with the mechanisms found after the arrival of Kvaratkshelia .

ATLETICO MADRID: The Colchoneros have worked on the confirmations, buying goalkeeper Juan Musso from Atalanta and acquiring, on a free transfer, the international French stopper, Clement Lenglet, previously on loan from Barcelona.

BOTAFOGO: many moves in attack, especially with the purchase of Arthur Cabral and Joaquín Correa, formerly of Fiorentina and Inter, as well as Alvaro Montoro, an 18-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder. In goal, the bet is on Cristian Lor, an international with the Ecuadorian U20 team.

SEATTLE SOUNDERS: they are moving forward with the same players. In January, the Americans were reinforced with striker Jesus Ferreira and South Korean central defender Ki-hee Kim, acquired from Ulsan, also at the Club World Cup.

GROUP C:

BAYERN MUNCHEN: few but targeted moves. In defense, Jonathan Tah was signed, whose contract with Bayer Leverkusen was expiring. In midfield, the choice fell on Tom Bischoff, one of the most promising German midfielders. Eric Dier (free to Monaco) and Franz Kretzig say goodbye.

AUCKLAND CITY: everything unchanged for the New Zealanders, coached by Spaniard Albert Riera.

BOCA JUNIORS: new coach (Miguel Angel Russo) but confidence in the team that was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Argentine Apertura tournament, was strengthened in January with 6 new faces, including Alan Velasco, Ander Herrera and Agustín Marchesin, as well as Marco Pellegrino, bought from Milan, and Malcom Braida, acquired from San Lorenzo.

BENFICA: without Cabral, but with Samuel Dahl in the team. The Swedish defender will be bought from Roma.

GROUP D:

CHELSEA: the Blues add three more players: Liam Delap, for a fee of 35.5 million euros, Mamadou Sarr, a 19-year-old central defender who arrived from Strasbourg, and Dario Essougo, a midfielder born in 2005, who previously played for Sporting Lisbon.

FLAMENGO: the transfer is called Jorginho. The Italian arrives on a free transfer at the end of his experience with Arsenal.

ESPERANCE: the new addition is Younes Raches, a versatile winger with 3 goals this season in the Tunisian top flight. The player, however, may not be included in the list of players called up and could join the team from July.

LOS ANGELES: the team was renewed at the beginning of 2025 and remained so, with Igor Jesus and the old acquaintance of Italian football, Cengiz Under (on loan but injured).

GROUP E:

INTER: with Christian Chivu on the bench, Luis Enrique and Petar Sucic arrived, whose purchases, already announced some time ago, were finalized last week. The total expenditure is 37 million euros, second only to that of Manchester City (130.3 million €), Chelsea (71.8 million €) and Real Madrid (€69.5 million) for this special period.

RIVER PLATE : everything unchanged, including the position of Franco Mastantuono, in his last games with the Argentines. The talent from La Banda should soon sign for Real Madrid, winner of the transfer battle with Paris Saint-Germain.

URAWA REDS the new arrival is called Hiro Komori, a striker who has played in Belgium for the last six months with Sint-Truiden.

MONTERREY : with a new coach, Domenech Torrent, it will be Johan Rojas. The attacking midfielder ended his loan at Necaxa early and will strengthen Rayo.

GRUPO F:

BORUSSIA DORTMUND: there will be two Jobe Bellinghams at the Club World Cup. Birmingham secured Zombe from Sunderland for 30.5 million euros.

FLUMINENSE: Renato Gaucho's players have been selected for a long time and remain so, despite some departures on the eve of the match. The only exception is playmaker Jefferson Soteldo, acquired from Santos for 4.8 million euros.

ULSAN: The South Koreans will have the opportunity to present their future central defender, Milos Troyak, in the United States.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS: the South Africans have not completed any transfer activity in the ad hoc window.

GRUPO G:

JUVENTUS: ahead with the players already available to Igor Tudor but with more certainties. The acquisition of Pierre Kalulu is official, while Randal Kolo Mouani will be a member of the team at least until the end of the tournament.

MANCHESTER CITY : an additional defensive option for Pep Guardiola, who will be able to play with newcomer Rayan Ait-Nouri. The Citizens' third goalkeeper is Marcus Bettinelli. They bought Lyon's French international winger Rayan Cherki for 36.5 million euros, as well as Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reinjders who paid 56 million euros to Milan.

WYDAD: the Moroccans rely on experience, in all departments. From Hull City here is 38-year-old Nordin Amrabat, brother of Sofiane. In defense, there is Dutch center Bart Myers, while in the attacking area there is Hamza Hanouri.

Al-AIN: the Emirates are renewing their defense. In goal, the former Atalanta and Roma player Rui Patricio, in the center, the duo formed by Marcel Ratnik, Slovenian U21 international, and Rami Rabia, with 31 appearances for Egypt. On the wings, instead, they have taken the Austrian Andis Jasic and, on loan, Facundo Zambala. In defense, it is also official that they will acquire Nasim Chadli, a Moroccan winger.

GRUPO H:

REAL MADRID: the renewal comes from the bench (Xabi Alonso) and from the defense, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huysen.

SALZBURGO: the Austrians are moving as usual without fanfare but with intelligence. From Bayern they have chosen the left winger Franz Kratzig and from Leverkusen the experienced Stefan Leiner. Among others, Jakob Rasmussen, famous for his past in Italy; the 20-year-old Japanese striker Shota Kitano has not yet been discovered.

Al-HILAL: here the big name arrives on the bench, with the signing of Simone Inzaghi. Otherwise, nothing has been done for Osimhen and Angelinho. Have the talks simply been postponed?.

PACHUCA: the team will be under the control of Jaime Lozano. The coach will also have Federico Pereira at his disposal, on loan from Toluca for the entire tournament.
