PSG confirmed the Thomas Tuchel exit and the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino is approaching
After leading French media reported on the breakup on Christmas Eve and superstar Kylian Mbappé had already said goodbye to the German head coach Thomas Tuchel on social networks, PSG confirmed the change on Tuesday.
Tuchel’s likely successor has a stable smell. The Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, who worked as a team manager for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League until 2019 and a player in Paris between 2001 and 2003, should inherit him.
The former Mainz and Dortmund Bundesliga coach Tuchel had taken over the post in the French capital for the 2018/19 season. Paris won two championship titles under Tuchel and reached the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich (0: 1) last season.
In the current season, PSG around the superstars Neymar, Mbappé and Ángel Di María are currently third in Ligue 1, one point behind Olympique Lyon and OSC Lille. Paris will face FC Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 in February.

Will Tuchel replace Frank Lampard …
Even before the official confirmation, there was speculation about Tuchel’s future. As the «Bild» reports, the former BVB coach could replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea.
According to the report, Tuchel and PSG have agreed to terminate the contract, the severance payment should be six million euros. The 47-year-old could take on a new position right away.
Most recently, «Bild» reported that Tuchel could move into the Premier League. There are two clubs there that particularly appeal to the former BVB coach: Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC.
Both clubs have great ambitions, and Tuchel has been an issue at both clubs in the past. In addition: both the Blues and the Gunners have been mixed this season.
